FAQ

What is ImmuvID?

ImmuvID is a platform that facilitates the creation of safe spaces (border crossings, entrance to buildings, hotels, restaurants, stadiums etc)

ImmuvID facilitates and ensures the veracity of some tests carried out, wherever you go, without having to present your medical data. ImmuvID gives you the peace of mind that wherever you go , at hotels, restaurants etc that participate in the platform and that appear on our map, special care has been taken and all customers and staff have been checked for their status, just like you.

ImmuvID is a 360º experience, which gives you access to the entire ecosystem you need to live with (safe) from the pandemic: laboratories, medical centers, insurance, airlines, hotels, leisure or work places so that you only have to worry about your experience.

- Know the prerequisites to prepare your trip

- Find a laboratory, pharmacy or medical center near you

- Make an appointment

- Hire your travel insurance

- Book a hotel with the maximum guarantees

- Find out which restaurants, co-workings or places of entertainment you can go to

- Have immediate medical contact if you have any problems

- Relax and forget about COVID related worries, knowing that you are safe wherever you go.

Are all new COVID APPS the same?

The answer is No.  Although many applications that claim to help in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus not all have the same approach:

There are several different types of apps in the market:

Tracing apps based on geolocation .

With a much more clinical- scientific approach aimed at monitoring the cases and distribution of the virus by people who have had contact with someone who has subsequently discovered to be positive.

Do you avoid contagion? No, it allows a follow-up and, hopefully, a projection of where the new cases will emerge.

Pros: follow-up of possible cases already infected .

Contras: The location and monitoring of citizens. This data remains with the companies / governments and could make use of it. Relatively low use/penetration in society. In countries that started with apps there has been little download / tracking / high rate of deactivation. (In Germany, until September there had been 5,000 notifications, in France, of a scarce 1 million downloads of the app, the following week 33% had been deactivated due to high battery consumption), in 30% of asymptomatic cases, the possible contagion is only known afterwards, when it has already occurred. A positive PCR photography is 7-10 days and in that time has been spread to u n number n which in looks z are spreading, until you see the positive in 10 days.

Tracing apps were useful during the early days of the pandemic in small populations or with high ability to perform testing and reaction. However, it has already been seen how in populations that do not meet these characteristics, they cannot fulfill their mission .

There have also been technical failures that have caused massive infections, or unnecessary confinements of people.

- Applications based on measuring distances with another phone via bluetooth .

Do you avoid contagion? No

Pro: Keeping social distancing rules

Contras: it depends on the person if they want to attend to the alarm, it is not necessary if you know how to measure distances, not applicable in large cities, it does not work if other people do not have a telephone or do not have it activated , not valid for closed places where the virus is spread by aerosol remaining in the air , which is irrelevant to the distance you and n cuentres.

- Applications to create COVID-free spaces

Do you avoid contagion? Yes

Pros: it allows the reactivation of sectors of economic activity while protecting the bulk of the population that may be at risk of being infected.

 ImmuvID

A mobile application to facilitate the transit / travel of people related to their status with respect to COVID 19 with certainty and guarantees, in order to protect public health and allow the reactivation of economic activity avoiding new infections while guaranteeing the privacy of the user / individual data.

The technology behind ImmuvID consists of 2 different parts, already developed and implemented:

  • Decentralized Digital Identity (DID) or Sovereign Identity - this technology (developed by our partner - Anemona ) allows the citizen to be the owner of their data, which can include their PCR test / COVID 19 status , vaccine, etc. . In the ImmuvID solution, all citizens with an official certificate of a test performed , PCR, antibodies , antigens, (documents issued by an approved laboratory) / rapid test / future vaccine can upload this information in their DDI and generate a QR code that contains such information. In this way, the citizen has absolute control of their data and although they can present their credentials for reading, it is technologically impossible to access them.

The selection criteria will depend on the competent authority (countries that decide to accept only negative PCRs prior to 72 hours / companies that activate the return to the office for those who have already passed it). ImmuvID allows you to set the reading criteria without having to change applications.

  • eneX - Identification of people and COVID status in a simplified process in one click - this technology (developed by our Swiss partner - Xplain) allows:
  • The verification of validity of any official document presented by a person as identification in most countries of the world through the reading of the universal MRZ code
  • The positive verification of people with the document presented (to verify that it is not an identity fraud) through biometrics
  • The query encrypted and secure database (from the base COVID data to international databases as Schengen, AFIS, Interpol , etc . )
  • The reading of the data (previously encrypted in QR code) from a simple mobile, without unnecessary technology or implementation and without contact between people.

The combination of these two technologies allows the implementation of an agile process throughout the world , WITHOUT LANGUAGES, to guarantee that only people who have previously taken a test, obtain access to specific physical spaces.

What types of tests are there?

Today we find several types of tests depending on what they measure:

- PCR: stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction . They are tests that serve to detect an active infection and are normally evaluated in laboratories after a nasopharyngeal test extracted by healthcare personnel. Reagents are used to achieve RNA duplication . Therefore, a time is needed for the reagents to act.

High detection rate , also in asymptomatic patients and days before showing symptoms.

- Serological: They analyze the presence of antibodies in the blood. They are used to detect active and past infections in people who develop antibodies.

- Antigens: detect the presence of antigens. High reliability (93%) and specificity , especially in people with symptoms in the first 5 days after starting them, it is therefore a diagnostic test (not screening) , after taking a nasopharyngeal sample by healthcare personnel you can have the results in 15 minutes .

The prices of one test or another depend on the laboratories that perform them.

What happens if they get infected later?

If they become infected later we know that we still have time until it can be contagious for others, about 5 days on average. Therefore, for short stays it is quite safe, in long stays it would be advisable to repeat the test to ensure 100%.

What about mutations? Can I re- infect myself? Does this affect possible future vaccines?

Viruses constantly mutate to better adapt to the "host." And this is still valid also for the Coronavirus.

Regarding the sensitivity of current tests to detect all these mutations: Yes, all of them are detectable by PCR and antigens and also in serological tests (which does not imply that having antibodies from one is enough to prevent a second Coronavirus infection from one strain far away).

Yes, we are seeing cases of reinfections. Surely more than those notified, since not all hospitals sequence viruses from all patients. Although the majority of reinfections tend to occur in a more banal way than the first infection, cases have been reported in which the re-infection has been more severe.

Regarding whether this could affect the success of the vaccine, we still have an unknown virus before and yes, it could also become, despite having a vaccine, into a seasonal virus, such as the flu. But this cannot be assured yet.

I have had COVID but I don´t have antibodies any more - am I no longer immune?

No, what the most recent studies confirm is that the antibodies detected by IgG and IgM decrease over time in some people , but it is thought that cellular immunity (characteristic of beta-type coronaviruses) remains, which is what lasts in the time when the humoral disappears. Thus, for example, in a recent study in Sweden, although only 15% seemed to have antibodies, it was observed that 30% already had cellular immunity to T lymphocytes.

E s e l typical behavior of this type of virus, such as SARSCOV (prior to the now) and is seen to have protection up to 17 years and in some cases have a protective effect COV2 crossed with SARS. As we still do not have a systematic and cheap way to detect cellular immunity, what can be concluded from the most recent studies is that: if you have tested positive for the virus or have had antibodies , even if these disappear, it is quite certain that immunity cell phone stays at least for a while. Now a new family of rapid tests is being developed, either PCRs, or antigens that, for now , It is still a nasopharyngeal procedure, so it requires health personnel to perform it, although laboratories can be dispensed with. The next step will be the rapid home tests with saliva, whose connection with ImmuvID is even more necessary for the control of the pandemic, since if the number of tests carried out, the percentage of positives, and the places of expansion of the positives is not monitored. , etc. health authorities lose "control" of the temperature of the pandemic.

How long does immunity last for? ImmuvID does not determine the entry criteria.

ImmuvID guarantees compliance with criteria established by competent authorities. This means for example: to enter a country the authorities have determined that a tourist must have a PCR carried out within 48 hours. In advance, the ImmuvID verifier will only read that said test exists and is negative, the same will happen if what is required is an antigen test performed.

For the moment , because it is something new and we only take steps based on science, we have decided that in those sites where the presence of antibodies is requested in a serological test, it will show "green" if it has an initial validity of 3 months (modifiable as scientific studies progress and endorsing a longer duration of immunity).

How is this different from another COVID19 traceability app?

ImmuvID does not keep track of the individual's location, the approach is different (see question 1.)

What data must be provided to the company, in the application , to validate the identity of a person? It is not necessary to provide any information to the company. With the concept of "sovereign identity" the data that you keep in this application belongs only to you and only you decide when or with whom to share it. We facilitate encryption and the simple reading of the minimum necessary information, without downloads, or the possibility of it being saved or recorded anywhere .

If I lose my mobile and I'm not at home, I'm in another city or country , how do I get the QR that identifies me again?

I can download the application from any other device, upon login I receive all the credentials that I had in the previous one.

What about false positives? Does this application or method set you apart?

At ImmuvID we work very closely with certified laboratories to ensure that the results obtained guarantee safety.

Those known as false positives, which basically occur in rapid antigen test analyzes and are due to a cross infection with another virus from the same coronavirus family . That is why we only accept blood tests performed in laboratories.

Not , however, a false positive on a "free" atmosphere carries a low risk, however, are false negatives which would represent a problem, the infection remain " hidden ". But current tests for both PCR and antigens have high sensitivity and specificity, above 97%. So those false negatives are a very low possibility.

How long does it take to generate my QR code?

You can access the QR code when you create your profile. You will only have to generate your own, unique and non-transferable QR code. The laboratories will upload the information to your profile, and the same application will notify you when they are available.

How does ImmuvID make sure that there is no cheating when test results are uploaded?

For starters, you can't upload your own results - only officially recognized health workers or Labs can. Depending on the test set to create the "free space" criteria be established for uploading results. In PCRs and you laboratory tests are certified laboratories which are allowed to upload the results, in fast PCRs or test antigen is the medical or health workers in some countries are allowed to perform this test in pharmacies, so pharmacies can also be registered in these countries. This may change with future test rapid saliva or nasal swab, where health personnel are needed for sample collection, which will make everyone at home should go r elacionado s with a code of the same test.

On what platform and with what type of access does the professional upload the data? Only laboratories approved by the government with which ImmuvID has a collaboration agreement , or approved pharmacies, in those countries where the authorities allow it, can upload the test results directly to the platform, thus avoiding the inclusion of false results .

Is technology necessary to read the QR?

Yes, ImmuvID offers the complete secure end-to-end stream; the coding of the information in the QR code and an app that allows reading on the contracted devices with just a mobile phone (although it is also possible to install fixed reading devices if you want to avoid human presence, as protection, and automate the access)

Is it necessary to have Bluetooth or NFC or active geolocation ?

No, at no time do we ask you to activate bluetooth or any geolocation system. And if you have it activated, it will not be used except in the maps function to locate possible nearby points of interest.

ImmuvID maintains your anonymity and that of your data at all times and guarantees that no one can access them without your consent.

How much does it cost to have the App?

The app is free for the user . The costs are borne by the reading authorities (verifier) who want to ensure the infection- free space .
